Say what!? That’s right guys, World Design Capital 2014, Cape Town, chose us as their email service provider of choice. How, one might ask, did we manage to snag ourselves the world’s foremost design movement?
Big surprise folks, social media continues to dominate branding, marketing and pretty much every other imaginable means of business to consumer engagement platform globally. Not only are consumers relying heavily on channels like Facebook and Twitter in particular, to connect and communicate with big businesses; they’re also relying on these platforms for user-generated reviews. That’s right, the one thing every business dreads and the reason for the increase in social media community managers being appointed to big business.
Now look, being a social media whizz isn’t everyone’s ‘thing’, but believe it or not, at some point we all have to delve into it. Sure, a Tweet here and a Facebook post there doesn’t hurt, right? Wrong! The social media landscape is littered with landmines, just ask…oh, we don’t know…politicians, celebrities and even sports stars.
Ok, so we’re not looking to give you the heebiedjeebies and have you run for the hills of traditional communication; all we’re saying is that is you’re going to be getting involved in social media then why not have someone with hero skills help you out?
According to Nielsen.com, around 46% of people rely on social media before deciding to buy anything. A similar report by Hubspot.com shows that social media garners more than double the amount of marketing leads than PPC, trade shows and direct marketing. Maybe not big news, but sure is big money.
